Above Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs): The Superior Choice
At OTS, we prioritise efficient and responsible fuel storage. That's why we advocate for Above Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs). Endorsed by the Environment Agency, ASTs offer significant advantages over Underground Storage Tanks (USTs).
ASTs can be relocated, extending their lifespan and preserving their capital value. Even at their "end of life", they retain value for repurposing or as scrap material. Typically, below ground tanks are decommissioned in situ by injecting foam. Leaving a tank in situ may affect the land value and impact on potential redevelopment. The later removal of foam-filled USTs is an expensive exercise as the foam needs to be removed and disposed of in landfill. Impact on the environment is costly.

Can OTS supply both tanks and dispensing equipment?
Yes. We design refuelling systems as complete packages, including bunded storage tanks, pumps, dispensers, pipework (including Mapress), filtration, and integrated fuel management technology. All dispensing equipment is supplied, tested, and commissioned by OTS engineers.
What fuel types can the systems store and dispense?
Our systems accommodate a wide range of fuels and additives including DERV, HVO, Gas Oil, and AdBlue. We can also advise on fuel compatibility, HVO conversion, and the best setup for multi-product dispensing.
Do OTS refuelling systems require groundworks?
Most sites require some civil work such as concrete pads, power connections, containment areas, or drainage integration. If needed, OTS manages all groundworks as part of our turnkey installation service to keep your project compliant and on schedule.
Can you install refuelling systems nationwide?
